Kobo, Google, and Print to come!

I’ll update with links as I have them. This is Book 13! Captain Lacey is summoned to St. Giles by Brewster who wants him to solve a murder with links to Brewster’s pugilist past.

Speaking of pugilism: At the Historical Romance Retreat in Spokane this past October, a professional pugilist taught a hands-on class (my husband took the class and I sat on the floor in the back and drank tea). It was fascinating to watch the sparring firsthand and learn about the rules (and lack of them). I might have been spying on Gentleman Jackson and the upper-class gents honing their skills! I am thankful for that opportunity. The demonstration brought Regency-style pugilism vividly to life.

Also, I heard from James Gillies, who is starting work on the audio book of The Thames River Murders. Yay! I’ll post updates when that’s further along. I can’t wait to hear what he does with it.

Starred Review for Death Below Stairs. Captain Lacey updates.

Death Below Stairs received a starred review from Publisher’s Weekly! That is no easy feat! I am pleased the reviewer enjoyed it. It begins: “Set in 1881, this exceptional series launch from Ashley (the Shifters Unbound series) introduces Kat Holloway, a brilliant cook employed in the lavish London home of Lord Rankin.”

I have started work on Murder in St. Giles (Captain Lacey Book 13). I have been mulling this book for a while and doing research on events of and different aspects of life in 1819. I plan for the book to be out in March 2018, with pre-orders coming in December. I’ll post when I know more.

Coming Soon!

Some new things coming soon. Watch for A Murder in Grosvenor Square in audio later this month, and a surprise coming July 11

As for the next Captain Lacey novel, Murder in St. Giles–I plan that for March of 2018.

More anon.
